A study of 400,000 people found that eating less meat may be the key to weight loss and slimming.

The results were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, support public health messages advising people to cut
down on the amount of meat they consume.

The researchers came to the conclusion that eating meat was associated with weight gain in both men and women.

It is not quite clear why meat leads to weight gain in people with the same calorie intake however one theory suggests that meat alters how the body regulates appetite control.

Despite the research, the overall weight loss plan you choose is the most important thing.  Daily exercise and healthy eating are necessary for anyone wanting to lose weight. Motivation is also a major factor.  Those people who have a burning desire and a will to succeed are much more likely to lose weight than those who are not dedicated.

There are many aids that can assist you in weight loss such as diet pills, weight loss patches and special short term diets.  While diet pills can help in the battle to lose weight, they should be accompanied by exercise and healthy eating to become the most effective.
